So, you want to know about me, do you? Sounds great, let’s do it.
My Story
I have worked in the financial industry since I was 18 years old and I credit my lifelong dedication to a career in finances to my grandparents (Mommy & Papa) who survived the Great Depression but developed lifelong insecurities and fears about how and where to invest money. They also exposed me as a child to old school country music such as Dolly Parton, Crystal Gale and the Oakridge Boys much to my dismay. However, I will still crank up Elvira if it comes on the radio. Mommy & Papa were afraid to spend money and never really took advantage of the savings they had accrued as blue-collar workers. This hurt me deeply, to see my grandparents sitting around the house and not enjoying their retirement, sometimes not even buying the “good” cheese. I remember their struggles, so I devote time to financial education, and provide clients with as much information as needed so they can make suitable investment choices. Money is to be enjoyed. Why save throughout your lifetime, if NOT to enjoy your money? This is so important, I cannot stress it enough!
2008
My clients and I experienced firsthand the type of financial turmoil Mommy & Papa witnessed during the Great Depression with the market crash and global financial crisis. This trial by fire allowed me to be their voice of reason. I was able to guide my clients through that chaos so that they could make informed decisions for themselves and their investments.
